Reunited seminal grindcore / extreme metal outfit BRUTAL TRUTH have begun writing for a new full-length album. The troupe has crafted six brand new songs so far, each one faster and more brutal than the one before it.
BRUTAL TRUTH’s Danny Lilker elaborates: “"We have 6 new songs in varying stages of evolution that are shaping up to be some of the most intense shit we've ever written. After 8 years it feels damn good to write some really psychotic grind, and we've jumped right into the deep end of the pool. Stylistically it seems to pick up where Sounds of the Animal Kingdom left off with the main difference being we're also incorporating some of the old school type riffing from Extreme Conditions Demand Extreme Responses but at a much faster tempo. We'll keep you posted as things develop!"

BEHEMOTH! By the time you read this, the decimating Ozzfest trek will itself be decimated, but for bands like Behemoth it was merely a groin stretch. That very energy that drives them to play ferociously every night has granted them enough horns-up to be hailed as the breakthrough artist for this year's Ozzfest. After one quick month, Behemoth will be back and teaming with Job For A Cowboy, Gojira, and Beneath The Massacre to make up the Radio Rebellion tour. Also, stay tuned for what's looking to be one eye-raping video for "Prometherion." I'll be honest, I really don't' care for music videos unless I'm too trashed to notice what I'm watching, but just from looking at the previews for this one I can honestly say that my nipples have had the biggest boners ever since. Stay tuned for its premier. One last thing, Revolver's balls have just gotten bigger all because they have a 5-page spread featuring Poland's greatest gift to metal for this month's issue. Swedens most prolific (and by far the most creative!) band to cross over into different musical territories will be performing exclusively across North America beginning this October in support of their most innovate work to date, Gothic Kabbalah.
Possibly one of the most fascinating acts to witness in a live setting, attendance from ALL the fans of the various metal communities are invited to these events. It will definitely be worth it ;)

SONATA ARCTICA guitarist Jani Liimatainen has been absent from the line-up this spring and summer due to his compulsory military/civil/prison duty.
Consequently, members of the band have come to a decision and their statement is below:
During fall of '06 and spring of '07, Jani's personal matters and actions drove us to a situation where we had no option but to ask Jani to leave the band. Jani was notified of this in May, and the separation was amicable.
We wanted to give Jani the chance to get his life together before making this public, which is why we didn't make this announcement earlier. We wish Jani well on his chosen path.
Facing the facts, we hereby humbly announce that Elias Viljanen is from this day forward a full and official member of SONATA ARCTICA. A long Unia tour lies in front of us. We extend Elias a warm welcome to the family, and we hope the fans will, too.
